I hope you enjoy the devotionals I share with you all on a regular basis.
There is one devotional that due to copyright I can’t share online. It’s Meditations which is published by Northwestern Publishing House, a part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).
It is available in various forms:
- iOS app
- an individual subscription
- large print individual subscription
- annual email subscription
- devotional e-books for Kindle or Nook
- a single print issue
- a single large-print issue
The iOS app works on both the iPhone and iPad, has morning and evening prayers, daily, seasonal and special prayers, and you can also set reminders. The app itself is free, but a one year subscription is $12.99 (or a 30 day subscription for $1.99)
Each devotion consists of a Bible passage, the devotional text, a short prayer and a suggested Bible reading, which if you follow will allow you to read through the Bible in a year. Typically the topic is the same for the whole week with each day looking at different aspects of the topic as relates to the Bible passage. The devotions are written by various people.
Today’s devotion was about how Jesus went to church, not because He needed it, but for the people around him.
I pray that if you don’t already read this devotional, you’ll consider ordering a subscription.
